The preferred in-house provider of audiovisual services at the Broward County Convention Center is Everlast Productions.  Everlast is a full service professional dealer. They represent many major manufacturers of audiovisual products and they provide expertise in equipment rental, show services, equipment sales, equipment installation and design and engineering services.

The Business Center located inside our Florida conference facilities is also operated by Everlast Productions. The services provided in the Business Center include copying, faxing and secretarial. In addition, if a patron needs to mail a package, Everlast provides shipping via UPS and Federal Express. They will even pack your items for you, while ensuring your package arrives at its final destination.

From small, informal functions to large corporate presentations, Everlast Productions will personalize every detail to make your event special. Their creative team can work with any budget to make any presentation look like a million dollars.

The Everlast Productions staff is located on site at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/ Broward Convention Center. Edlen Electric and Compressed Air & Water Services

The exclusive in-house provider of electrical and compressed air & water services at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center is Edlen Electric.  For more than 35 years, Edlen has specialized in providing unsurpassed electrical services to the trade show, convention and special event industry. This expertise is the reason more show organizers, decorators and facility managers choose Edlen to provide efficient and affordable power solutions to their events.

The relationship between Edlen and the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center began when we opened in September of 1991 and they have been our only electrical contractor since then. They provided valuable assistance to us when we designed our expansion, which was completed in February 2002.  This long-term partnership has proven to be an asset not only to us, but to our patrons, as well.

Edlen has built their own equipment designed specifically for use in a temporary event environment, such as the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center.  In the past, the primary focus of electrical service contractors was on commercial and residential business.  By utilizing custom equipment, Edlen has been able to lower customer costs and provides for a safer environment for exhibitors and attendees alike, launching Edlen into the forefront of the trade show industry.

Telecommunications Services

Telecommunications service is exclusive within our conference facilities. It is provided by in-house personnel and we offer a variety of choices. We can provide analog and digital phone lines. Phones that can be rented include single-line sets, speakerphones, cordless phones or multi-line digital sets with caller I.D. Our data network includes fiber-optic, Cat 5 and Cat 6 infrastructure, T-1's and ISDN lines. Phone hookups can be provided in all meeting rooms, exhibit halls and ballrooms. We also offer a variety of features, including call waiting and 3-way conference calling. We have 2 carriers with interior cell sites installed, AT&T and Sprint.

Among the several ways we can assist you to communicate while you are in our sunny South Florida conference facility is by providing voice mail. If are away from your booth on the exhibit floor and would like to allow your customers to leave a message for you, this feature can be added to a phone line. We also can provide fax machines and digital pagers.

Video conferencing is another way our telecommunications staff can help. We have capabilities up to 12 channels at 768 KBPS. Our two-way video can be placed anywhere within our convention facility and connected to one or more distant locations. If you need a satellite downlink, we can provide that, also.

When we expanded to our current 600,000 sq. ft. conference facilities, we incorporated a state-of-the art Teleconference Suite into the design. This specially designed room allows our clients to conduct a teleconference in the comfort of a boardroom setting. We recently installed a 62" flat screen digital TV in this suite.

Internet Access Services

CCLD (Convention Center Long Distance) is our exclusive internet provider. The high capacity fiber network throughout our conference facilities makes possible high-speed Internet access, custom VLAN applications, secure networks, video conferencing, and wireless internet hotspots. As professionals, they will provide innovative technology solutions that enable you to have a successful event at our Florida meeting facilities.

A complete turn-key job is made possible with the provision and installation of cabling and switches on exhibit floors or in meeting rooms.

CCLD has provided these services for hundreds of professional and amateur athletic events, including the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2002 NCAA Final Four Men's Basketball Tournament and two Super Bowls. Their courteous and professional staff will strive to provide a positive experience for event attendees at the convention center.

Wireless Access Wi-Fi:

The Wireless service is provided by CCLD Inc. and is available throughout all the common areas, lobbies, meeting rooms and ballrooms in our conference facilities.

This service is designed specifically for the event attendee who would like to access the internet with simplicity. Daily rates are $27.50 or $110.00 for a weekly rate with tax included. This is online service purchased on location only upon connecting to the wireless WiFi system. Please remember, sessions are based on time, so if you purchase a daily session, the session will begin as soon as the purchase is made and the session will be valid for the duration of the service purchased.

Sponsored Wi-Fi Programs:

We have several programs available for meeting planners and event sponsors; this is an opportunity to generate revenue from a sponsorship program from the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center wireless network.

Some of the advantages of sponsored WiFi:

• Sponsor owns login and/or re-direct page as a great marketing opportunity
• Low cost to event management
• Event management secures sponsor to generate additional revenue
• Attendees have access to free wireless

Special Note:  Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) can possibly be slow when streaming video or connecting to a VPN (Virtual Private Network).  The bandwidth is 128kbps bi-directional and it can affect your internet video viewing experience and possibly not connecting to a VPN.  The Wi-Fi service is intended for simple connectivity such as web browsing and email viewing, among other simple applications.  It is recommended to consider a premium wire line service when running a video streaming presentation or connecting to a VPN.

Air And Water Services

Edlen Electric also is the exclusive in-house provider of compressed air and water services at the Broward County Convention Center. They are the largest independent temporary utility contractor in the country and are committed to providing the same exceptional service our clients have experienced when they have ordered their electrical hookups through Edlen. Cyber Cafe Services

Part of the $34 million expansion to our convention and meeting facility, the Breezin' Java/Cyber Cafe is the perfect spot to access your email or surf the web while having a bite to eat. The cafe offers 8 permanent terminals and at least 8 more plug-in table locations for laptops. Designed to convey the tropical environment of South Florida through the use of artwork and the cypress floor, the café features Starbuck's coffees, as well as specialty foods & beverages and our television monitors feature CNN/MSNBC news. The Breezin' Java/Cyber Cafe is one of the many state-of-the-art facilities and amenities we offer in our conference venue and we look forward to seeing you.

Video Conferencing Services

The Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center has an ongoing commitment to providing the latest in technological services. To that end, we are pleased to offer our clients the capability of setting up a video conference. Our convention facility can provide this service in all of our meeting rooms, exhibit halls and ballrooms. Video conferencing is established through either a T1 line or an ISDN line.

Our capabilities include up to 12 channels at 768 KBPS. We have two-way video that can be placed anywhere within our convention facility and connected to one or more distant locations. If you need it, we also can provide a satellite downlink.
